Entries now open!

How To Enter

Entry is FREE and open to all golf clubs and courses, no matter what size or type, anywhere in the world. Every golf course has an equal chance of winning an award – the judging is based solely on your environmental focus and projects.

There are six award categories this year, these are: Operation Pollinator, Conservation Champion, Sustainable Project of the Year, Ecological Project of the Year, UK Environmental Golf Course of the Year, and International Environmental Golf Course of the Year.

Please send us at least 10 high-quality photos with your application. These can be emailed to info@golfenvironmentawards.com or sent via WeTransfer. Please ensure you provide the name of your golf club in the subject of the email with your photos attached.

If you think your golf club is providing a positive contribution to the environment, then why not enter the awards?

NOTE: For international clubs, please only enter the ‘International Environmental Golf Club of the Year’ category.

Applicants to the Golf Environment Awards can choose from six categories to enter:

Sustainable Project of the Year Award

Ecological Project of the Year Award

Awarded to golf clubs who have implemented a successful ecological project, with clear objectives and targets that contribute to a better environment and are making sound progress in fulfilling the goals of the project.

Conservation Champion Award

Any Questions?

A winner for each of the six categories is announced at a glittering ceremony in January, held Harrogate at the same time as BTME. The winning golf clubs and runners-up receive considerable publicity in national and regional media in addition to their individual prizes.

For more information on this and other prizes awarded, please see the prizes page.

Entry to the awards is completely free, and we encourage every eco-conscious golf club to consider applying, no matter how big or small the project.

The Golf Environment Awards are managed and administered by STRI Group, and each entry is independently judged, not on the scale of project nor their financial investment, but on what the golf course has achieved and how it’s achievements have benefited the surrounding environment and local ecology.

If you have any queries, please contact our ecology team on 01274 565131 or email info@golfenvironmentawards.com. We look forward to hearing about the ecologically and environmentally friendly practices that are currently happening on your course! Thank you and good luck!
